Deja Blue Classic Car Show

Get your American Graffiti fix with street rods, pre and post-WWII cars, trucks and motorcycles. Twenty-four classes of trophies will be awarded to the participating car owners at 1 p.m. Dozens of antique and classic cars are expected. Get up-close looks and make keepsake photos of the vehicles that sparked the imagination of generations of Americans! Trick-rope artist Burt Hairgrove
9 a.m. to Noon, Commercial Bank, 215 E. Main St.
Amazes young and old as he spins the lariat in Wild West Show fashion! While charming a crowd with the soft-spoken style of a young Will Rogers, Burt – the official spokesperson for Commercial Bank of Texas -  performs some of the most difficult and elaborate roping tricks ever seen.  Burt has been seen on tv ads for a famous bread company, on Good Morning America, and on the south lawn of the White House entertaining President Bush.

Blueberry Kids Activities
9 a.m. – 4 p.m. South of downtown in Festival Plaza.

  • Arts and crafts-- free make-and-take activities 
     
  • Bounce Park— Giant inflatables for giggles and spills. Planned this year: Pirate ship bounce/slide combo; Superman obstacle course; Dragon bounce/slide combo; water maze; duck pond; treasure chest. (Individual tickets $2, arm-bands $10) 
  • True Blue Petting Zoo – The East Texas Horse Rescue and Sanctuary hosts a petting zoo with horses, ponies, goats, mini horses, llamas, pigs and dogs. Photos with mini-horses and pony rides available for a nominal fee.  Nacogdoches Animal Shelter will bring adoptable animals.
  • Elsie’s Little Red Express Train, Borden’s Milk Products—starts in Regions Parking Lot.  Individual tickets $1, multi-ride stamp $5.
  • Elsie – The Borden Cow! See America’s most-famous bovine and have your picture made with her, too!
  • Big Blue Mural - We're looking for artists short and tall to complete our mural! Come to the grassy banks of Banita Creek in Festival Plaza. New!
